NEWDA Volunteers are honored at Awards Banquet
The NEW Dressage Association exists solely because of its members and those members that volunteer their services.  NEWDA approved,
early in its formation, a Volunteer Program that sets us apart from many other USDF group member organizations.

The following core volunteers were honored at our banquet:

Grand Prix (42 hours or more):  Lois Arenz, Brynn Hansen, Deb Heier,
Stephanie Morgan, Barb Pendleton and Cindy Ruetten.  The range
of hours reported for these individuals was 42 to 104 hours.

Prix St. George (30-41 hours):  Jennifer Blahnik, Lori Fisher
and Hannah Ruetten.

4th Level (24-29 hours):  Debbie Braley, Mary Scanlan and Sally Tiegs.

Also reporting volunteer hours, ranging from .5-19.5 hours, were:   Stacia Allen,  Cynthia Archer,  Pat Black,  Sue Broeren,  Lisa Brotz,  Toby
Capaul, Leslie Chermak, Jackie Devcich, Tammie Diedrich, Christine Doede, Susan Doede, Erin Dunn, Kathy Dunn, Julie Fitzpatrick, Glenda
Herro, Leslie Heyden-Guerts, Stephanie Jacobson, Tani Ketter, Alicia Landstrom, Dawn Main, Trish Rogatski, Jenny Schmitt, Katie Sell, Julie
Sell, Marie Stewart, Susan Strecker, Laura Vogel-Schwartz, Joan Watson and Sharon Wiese.  Although the range of hours was from .5-19.5,
the accumulative was an impressive 228.5 hours!

2010 NEWDA Member of the Year
The NEW Dressage Association had a very busy first year and, as the year closed, it was time for members to consider submitting a nomination
for Member of the Year.  The Member of the Year is awarded to a person that has gone above and beyond the true meaning of volunteerism.
Nominations were submitted with a brief essay.

This year's winner of the award was --
 Stephanie Morgan!!

The essay:  I nominate  Stephanie Morgan  for Member  of the Year.  Stephanie is the  founding  member of the NEWDA.
She has been the force behind our Volunteer appreciation program which, in my opinion, sets us apart from many other
GMO's.  Stephanie's  willingness to tackle  the tough issues,  lead by example  and her  dedication to  NEWDA's mission
statement, sets her apart.

Other dedicated members nominated for this honor were:
Brynn Hansen, Lori Fisher, and Debbie Braley.
A magical day of wit and wisdom was shared by NEWDA members at the 2010 Annual Meeting.  Our
keynote speakers, Axel Steiner and Dr. Samantha Morello, were enjoyed by all in attendance.

The evening festivities included the presentation of our 2010 Dressage Awards.
